A must have for every pc user. If the author had a donate page or a paid version I would spend the money in a heart beat. Amazing that he doesn't.

This is one of my "must haves" that I keep in on my flash drive, cloud storage, and a zipped archive with all my other security tools. With today's developers adding so many PUP's to their executables, you're just asking for an infected machine without this amazing app.

I just have to laugh at the geniuses dismissing this program, because its obvious that none of them have actually installed it or have any clue what its for. Unchecky clears the pre-selected installs for bloatware that are included with nearly every legitimate program now (Adobe junk, Chrome, free antiviruses, etc). Its invaluable and saves a lot of time if you frequently install or update software.

I use eset nod32 and it stops all of the un-wanted programs form installing

I have been using it since it was first released. It works as expected with no crashes so far. To those having issues with network connectivity because of it, please try running netsh winsock reset via the Command Prompt application as an Administrator and resetting.

I decided to try this program because it can be tricky to catch all of the programs that installers want to add at times. I guess it worked, but what I mostly found was serious connection issues. It would lock up my wireless connection for anywhere from two to three minutes after a fresh boot and maybe a minute after putting the computer to sleep. It slowed down access to internet content, as well. Sorry, but no. It's gone and now things are running as they did before.

Pros: I can't help but poke fun at the so-called "geniuses" who are so quickly discarding this program when it's clear that none of them have even downloaded it, let alone used it. https://connections-game.com
Cons: By deselecting the bundled bloatware, such as unnecessary Adobe add-ons, Chrome, free antivirus software, and so on, the installation process will proceed more quickly and with fewer distractions.
Bottom Line: Its invaluable and saves a lot of time if you often install or update software.
