Editor.NET has almost all the features that can be found in the Visual Studio.NET code Editor, including customisable syntax highlighting, code outlining, code completion, unlimited undo/redo, bookmarks, word wrap, drag-n-drop, built-in search/replace dialogs, multiple view of the same text, displaying gutter, margin, line numbers and many more. Editor.NET package includes code parsers that implement full syntax analysis for vast subset of modern programming languages, including C#, VB.NET, Java, Ansi-C, Java script and XML. Editor.NET is available in WinForms and WPF editions.

Imagine that two clueless idiots reviewing software they obviously haven't even used! The library here is a good implementation of the .NET editor in VS. Being able to add that to your own programs is indeed a valuable addition to the programmers tool kit.

This is a library to include in your own applications
It's not a text editor to compete with textpad or ultraedit.

That is why it appears that it costs so much. In reality it does not.

$299 for a text editor

I wouldn't matter how good this software is, no text editor is worth $299!

Their website says: "Editor.NET has almost all the features that can be found in the Visual Studio.NET code Editor" You can get a FREE version of VS.Net!

As the father character in the movie "The Castle" says: "There're got'a be dreamin'".

At that price, I would expect at least to have the same features as UltraEdit. In other words, it is underpowered and overpriced. Then again, maybe they should associate with a famous design brand, so they can charge this much.
