Mp3 Tag Assistant Professional is an effective mp3 tag editor (ID3v1, ID3v2), playlist (M3U, PLS) and filelist (TXT, CSV, XML) generator and music file manager. You can change tags for a large or very large list of music files. You can first change the data virtually, while the program will save all those changes to files afterwards. You will also be able to make the filenames the way you want them, create playlists/filelists, copy the changed files to the folders with your favorite music and other. The program has some unique features for editing large file lists. The program makes it possible to maximally automate the process of editing tags and other operations with music files. Supported UNICODE symbols in the tags (Latin Extended-A, for example).

This program is not good for beginners or users with limited computer skills. If you need to change your tags just get winamp or iTunes which are free and much easier to use.

It's surely not bad, but there are many free alternatives out there. I prefer mp3tag which is complete freeware and has much more options.

For simple editing of ID TAGS is WinAmp enough perfectly. You does not need for it this program.
Save the money.

I haven't actually used this program yet(shame on me), but I noticed on the webpage "Mp3 Tag Assistant version 1.x beta x is distributed free of charge." so it looks like it might become payware later... I must say from the screenshots it looks interesting, and i will take it for a testdrive after i write this. But really, I do all my tagging using either "tag" with frontend (http://home.wanadoo.nl/~w.speek/tag.htm) and foobar2000 (www.foobar2000.org). Both which is also free. I dont see why i need anything else. With plugins available, foobar2000 does id3v1, id3v2, APEv2 and vorbis tags, and also has a freedb lookup feature which works great (this also through plugin). The builtin masstagger is also exelent. But... this isn't a foobar2k review... I will write more about this(MP3 Tag Assistant), after i try it(if I feel it's better than the previously mentioned programs in any way.)

It disagree with the previous review. The app supports ID3v1 and 2. In total it is possible to edit more than 30 tags, including not Winamp tags.
It is very interesting program.

First look, this app has great potential. Upon deeper inspection, it has some major issues. Needs to be more user friendly to update ID3 tags (not Winamp tags). Should be able to support ID3v1 and 2. Have a look here for something to shoot for.. http://sourceforge.net/projects/massid3lib. Adopt some of the features from MP3 tag tools, add support for different formats, and finally add FreeDB or CDDB support and you have a SWEEET app.
