Publisher's Description

My Notes Center is an e-organizer and personal information manager jam-packed with features like an overstuffed sandwich. It stores personal notes, e-mails, web links, phone numbers, addresses, even credit card numbers safely and securely. Use it as text editor and word processor for working on various projects or as a personal digital notebook with convenient tree-like structure of your records. The program comes with printing options, encryption support and file compression. Importantly, the notes (files) are loaded and saved dynamically, which optimizes the use of memory. There are several export options (RTF, TXT or HTML). Beside presenting notes in a convenient, easy-to-use tree-like form, the program allows the notes to be arranged, moved or copied inside or between notebooks in a file tree using handy drag'n'drop feature or with keyboard shortcuts. Whether you are a student, avid collector or office manager, money spent on My Notes Center will give you a ten-fold return on your investment over time.

Except for one huge omission, My Notes Center seems to be a conflation of both Microsoft OneNote and WinOrganizer. It has everything but good outlining features, which would seem to be essential to this kind of software. And while it offered a good deal of customizability, it would not allow me to change the file tree background's default (yellow) color. Other features, such as inserting symbols and other formatting options might be more efficently implemented via a task pane on the right side of the screen like Microsoft does. My Notes Center is otherwise brilliant for a first version and holds amazing promise. Reasonably priced, if it nails down outlining as well as CaseSoft's NoteMap or Microsoft's OneNote, then it will dominate its market in a very short time.

Please, do not compare My Notes Center and a small programs a-la "sticky notes". MNC is mostly designed to handle a pretty large pieces of text got from different sources and written by yourself.

You may use MNC to store short notes, links, phones. The text collector is intended to handle it, its window may be "undocked" and stay "floating" on top of other windows even being transparent in Windows 2000/XP+.

I've tried four or five Notes programs and found My Notes Center the best by far. The price didn't seem excessive. They had a 40% discount deal before the holidays.

I don't often agree with reviewers that point to different programs, but in this case I have to agree with kandjar.

My Notes Center is way overkill for the job, not the prettiest program around and relatively high priced for the functionality it offers.
