It works well for me, it just does not seem as tweakable as Admuncher.

three stars for not collapsing blocked elements. this is what opera's content blocker lacks too.

Probably because FireFox has Ad-Block Plus, which is the best ever.

Not bad for a free app. Not bad at all. However, it is inevitable that this program will be compared against similar ones on the web. So here goes the cons:

- Browsers other than IE need to be manually configured to work with AdScraper

- Manual proxy based setup means it won't work for all apps (as opposed to a hook/winsock based approach)

- Leaves large gaps in webpages where the Ads were supposed to be, as seen in http://adscraper.com/img/adscraper_after.gif (other commercial Ad Blockers don't leave any traces)

However, the plus points would be the automatic filter updates, and the whole install-and-forget approach. Well, its really install-configure-and-forget. I wonder why the author didn't take the pains to write a few more lines of code to automatically configure other browsers like Opera & Firefox.
