Don't know bout you, but I tried this, had problems. So my advice to you is to stay away from this. Poppeeper, Checks alot of mail addy's. Poppeeper would put this to shame, and it's free. I have Poppeeper, checking all 8 of my E-mail Addy's.

Nice little utility for every-day mail checking and it can even be used as a simply mail server with all essential features. Clean and intuitive interface and flawless operation - that's what I like about this! Regarding the previous comments below: the speed of checking an account only depends on the speed of the provider - this has nothing to do with CheckMail.
