CrystalPlayer features original video kernel allowing high-quality playback from any kind of video source, e.g. video files (.AVI, .MPEG, etc.) or URLs. It does not use built-in WindowsMedia environment, so there are no any limitations implied, as with most other players. Supported formats are including, but not limited to: DivX, XVid, Mpeg1, Mpeg2, Mpeg4, WMV, Real, etc.
CrystalPlayer Professional offers uncomparable ability to improve the quality of the videos you're watching. Check Video filters, Video Postprocessing, multisampling and supersampling features of Professional version.

Come on....why shareware? KMplayer is THE player, and freeware. Nuff said

dont be stupid there is no spyware or like things in crystal player. This is the best player if you ever tried you would see why.Colors and picture quality is great because it has its own engine way of playing movies. All other players depend on codecs but crystal player is something different much more bright and colorful picture quality is great.Just try it.After i tried crystal player i never watched a movie with another player all seemed dull.

while i installed this my AVG went berzerk and said it was a trojan.. thinking otherwise i went ahead and installed it...
boy was that a mistake...
after countless hours of restoring my system i'm here to tell you how much of a piece of crap this program is.
after installation completion your screen will immediately get about 3000 pop ups for porn, debt consolodation, and gamling, you'll also experience strange file mutations from the malware. if u have any passwords saved in cache this program will steal them., then bam next thing you know they're in your bank account robbing you. aside from taking over your instant messanger programs.
so, as a word from someone whose tried it just go ahead and slam your hand in the desk drawer.. its alot less pain.
normally i would give a program like this a good review, but its deceptive... next time the devs should write what it really does ;)

Doesn't support 5.1 on my Audigy 2 card. The freeware player GOMplayer does.

What sets this player apart from other players?
1) It is *very lightweight* memory-wise
2) It plays all the most used file formats, codecs
3) GIU response is instant (yeah yeah, so it misses a millisecond), that means: the menus, ocd, window resizing.
4) Installs very quickly (using installer)
5) Has all the most important, useful 'tweaks' (see list above)
6) Plays DVD
7) Has 'wife protection'
It's faster than any other client I know of in WinXP. No hearts breaks. Lighter than VLC, mplayer what have you. And all the goodies.
8) It's not free. Ok ok, here's the free, downsized one http://fileforum.betanew...layer_Free/1108313290/2
