DShutdown supports all classic shutdown options and beyond. There is a series of particular options like pure shutdown (like the ForceAfterWait option, that causes a forced, but clear, shutdown), and ones related to monitor functions (the option to shutdown a PC when an application terminates, useful at the end of compression of several files, or as the option to shutdown a PC when Internet traffic reduces itself under a particular value for a given amount of time, useful to shutdown a PC at the end of a download). Is also possible to intercept a shutdown request caused by the user (or by another software) and to execute the shutdown request with selected options in DShutdown.

This is the only utility that I've found that will disable a LAN adapter after a specified time of system inactivity. It also has numerous options to automate routine system functions, local and remote. It's light, it's free, and it works as advertised. Well done, Dimio!
