DynDNS Updater is an utility which can be used to automatically update the IP address database in DynDNS server into current IP address. Updating the IP address is required to maintain the dynamic domain name so it still can be reachable.

I hate this thing. The window cannot be resized, the interface is more convoluted than it needs to be, and for some strange reason, it displays my LAN IP as the "Current IP" and the "Updated IP" in the log (whereas on the Info tab, it shows my WAN IP as the "Current IP", and the LAN IP as the "Updated IP").
I use two dynamic DNS services. I went to the Groups tab, UNchecked the DynDNS.org group, clicked OK, and then clicked "Force Update". I thought this would force an update only on the service that was NOT DynDNS.org. What happened was that BOTH services were forced an update--and the DynDNS.org update was "considered abusive".
When I went back to the Groups tab, the DynDNS.org group was checked again. Then, I noticed that NONE of my groups can actually be disabled in the Groups tab, as the documentation says they can.
DynDNS Updater also will not work with OpenDNS.com, unlike DirectUpdate. But, of course, DirectUpdate is not free, so all the idiots rate it down.

This has been a reliable solution for computers I don't have access to.

Outstanding! It's the official automatic update software according to the software's website, and I can tell why. It's simple, so there's not much to say other than it does its job very well.
