It's become WAY more robust & has plenty of content nowadays-- i recommend folks try it-- first disable or enable content filtering as it suits you.

Not a bad concept at all, but the way this app works in practice, there's no real point to have (instead of just heading to the website to view/download whatever), & to be running it in the background: downloading's just too slow(resembles a torrent with only one seeder: anticipation, anticipaaaaation)-- and at that on super-fast broadband-- & the whole app too resource-hogging(assuming one's working on some other program & then suddenly decides to take a peek at some video in it, while all downloads continue in the background: after a while i can't even have this one browser session open while the app runs-- & yes, i know there's a download pause button); also, there seems to be no apparent way to allocate it more download bandwidth to 'hurry it up'.
I like the content uploaded there, but it's not a whole lot-- to the point that you can head there once every month or two to catch up on all new-- but therein you land in a catch-22: too much stuff for the player to download to you, unless if you want to set it a whole day alone... but who's gonna want to do that when you can just hit the website & watch everything new there right away & be done with it? Certainly not for the sake of downloading the content, 'cause you can quickly get everthing w/ a mass downloader.
This utility's good for the site load-wise, but young folks just have too short attention spans & there's just too much competing content out there, for anyone to be frittering away their time in this manner.
I wish the authors nothing but success.....

I give it a 4 as i really like the program and the jokes. I would give it a 5 if they could speed up the downloads though. If your on a dialup connection then this program will be slow for you.

Brilliant program imo
Totally free of virus' spyware etc., loads of different categories, and it's a bit cliché but there really is something for everyone.

A great program for people who want to have things to laugh at or just want the latest commercials, etc. Its UI is easy to use and its also somewhat free of bugs (I've been running it for a while and haven't experienced any).

Greay Concept, using a Edonkey Network to Share only great stuff, those little things your friends sned my email,u can find them here and much more, One thing i dislike isthte fact that metace encripts the downloads u made so u can only see them iside the meta cafe :(

Nice little program. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because it installed 2 icons on the desktop without my ok :)
As soon as you run the program it will start downloading content. Lots of good stuff funny vides etc. you get to rate everything and view comments. Check out the tsunami videos amazing.
Metacafe is hard on the cpu so I don't run it too much.
YOu can save whatever you download to view outside of Metacafe by first saving whatever then go to your saved list and right mouse click on an item. There will an option to save (flash, winmedia or whatever). Save it and you can view it without metacafe.
