For all what it's worth: Microsoft Virtual Earth 3D runs just fine with Firefox. Just restart your browser after the installation . No need for IE !!! (that's what I like about it the most ;) And no, it isn't stand alone program, in fact is no need for a stand alone program. No local saving of countless MBs of maps like in Google Earth...just open the live search page in Firefox and you're on -DG

Great stuff, and some things are better than G earth actually. Looking forward to finished product.

This is getting better, finally anout the earth and not just US. The setup has one photo beyond the center of the world and it is almost from the other side of the world (Toronto). The content, maps, are much better than during the springtime 2007.

Much better than Google Earth. Pull them up and compare. Microsoft did a nice job on it. And it's still beta as is googles. Competion is sweet, it is making both companies go all out. In the end we win.
