Wow, all the reviews on here so far are for Service Pack 1, which has absolutely nothing to do with Serivce Pack 2. No, its not a version thing, they cannot be compared.
Anyways Service Pack 2 is rock solid, at least on my system. Its fast and I can't get the thing to crash. The couple of things that you can normally get explorer to crash with is still the same as previously Windows (all versions of XP included) but it hops straight back up again!

Service Pack 1 for Server 2003 results in the same dramatic overhaul of the OS's security and network subsystems that SP2 offered XP.
It is an absolutely crucial update for server environments to take advantage of, although administrators should approach it with the same caution as XPSP2. The final release does significantly improve on stability and compatibility, although testing and verification of your apps configurations should be done BEFORE installing the update.

Service Pack 1 RC2 offers essentially the same benefits to Server 2003 as SP2 for Windows XP. All in all, it is a much needed, very welcome service pack, and I look forward to the final release.
Of course, if the system is pirated or installed and configured wrong, or damaged with God only knows what software... it is no surprise that problems might crop up.

One shouldn't expect this to get high reviews, but oh well. 2 (non-fatal) errors within my first minute of using it, trying out various computer property tabs:
rundll32.exe - Entry Point Not Found
