MusicCubeOne is an attempt to do a simple yet neat looking media player for the Windows operating system. Though simple, it holds the most required functions for handling and playing music in an easy maner. The user interface is constructed using a small skinning engine allowing a completely custom look. The playlist gives a good and intuitive overview of the loaded files with information on title, album, artist and playing length when available. Files can be added using a file browser dialog designed to show extended information from the listed music files.
Yes
- Added MIDI file support through soft-synthesis with sound fonts (SF2 format)
- New visualizer for displaying MIDI realtime during playback
- Menu commands for switching between the different visualizers
- Preference page for configuration of sound fonts (SF2 format)
- Added tracker control for seeking in the currently played media file and for selecting different files from the playlist
- Hints for the tracker control showing media title, artist, album, etc

MusicCubeOne is a bit oversimplified in its GUI. This player has no shuffle option. A negative of this player is that is has no button for switching between the player and the playlist, also there is no button to easily open files. Most everything with the default skin is oversimplified. All these options exist except shuffle but since there is no direct visual way of doing them it makes me dislike this player so far, but since you can skin it these buttons could be added in I would think. At this time no other skins are available. So, at this time this players ease of functionality is somewhat lacking. Well to talk about some of its pluses I really enjoy the options menu very clean and easy to navigate as well as a DSP function for stereo enhancement, Multilanguage support, etc... The playlist is very elegant, but is iTunes to the bone, but without the huge system tax. Oh yah, obviously this program is a player, not a library, so don’t download it if you’re looking for that. Oh yeah this program has a great memory footprint only 5KB when playing. I’m giving this program a 4 because it has potential, but with no way of doing it at this time I won’t give it a 5.

Love the player! Great job thus far.
REQUEST:
Please add sort option on the play list, I.E sort by file name, sort by folder/path, sort by album, sort by artist and or sort by genre.
WISHLIST:
Would bw nice to have the control on the text size on the player.
Would be nice to have the player's skin (GUI) use window's XP themes.
Option to have skin snap to corners and sides of window, I.E. 10pix.
Option to toggle EQ on or off.
That's it. Keep up the wonderfull work!

Very nice! Author is quite responsive too!
I especially like the ability to use APLs for other than APE files.
Give it a try.
