I load NotePro in seconds and use it instead of bulky word processors. Great for letters, memos, opening files, and converting back and forth among text, RTF, and HTML formats with ease and accuracy.

I agree with the other reviews on this page. NotePro is a very nice little simple word processor. It has all the normal formatting options one needs; styles would be nice but for $17 what do you expect.

Even the way it turns text files into HTML is not bad, it uses 's for existing paragraphs and seems to handle number and dot point lists corectly. Very neat.

Another solid update for this feature-rich and simple word processor that defines the small, fast app that users crave.

For what it is, this little word processor is very handy; that is, it handles .rtf, .doc, and .txt files with impressive dexterity. More complex formatting options are added in this release and for those wanting format flexibility and simple power, take a second look at NotePro.

I can't imagine who would be using a WordPad replacement as an actual word processor over just copying and pasting certain blocks of formatted text now and then. For a little more, your money would be much better spent with a full-fledged word processor titled "TextMaker" from SoftMaker (www.softmaker.de/tmw_en.htm) which provides not only a clean user interface, but is superfast and does 90% of what Word itself does. For what it is, though NotePro is very good and for the $19, you're getting your money's worth; and it's definitely better than WordPad! The only reason I would not recommend TextShield is that it runs on lots of extra dlls and is no longer developed.
