SoftCAT is a powerful database program designed to help you organize your software inventory. Not only will SoftCAT help you know what you have and where it is, but it will also help you keep track of important information like serial number, registration name, and other registration information. You never know when you need this information.

Reviewing 2.10.00 (Nov 30, 2005)
As per a previous comment, the description is misleeding as some of the features described are only available in the Pro (paid for) version.
Reviewing 2.10 RC1 (Nov 28, 2005)
The screenshot shows "Form Designer" so gigsvoo assumed that it's a screenshot of the programming environment where SoftCAT was created. In reality, SoftCAT itself has a Form Designer feature where you, the end-user, can customize its forms. However, this feature is only available in the Pro edition for $29.95, not in the freeware edition, so it is misleading to have this screenshot on this page.

The idea is good, not sure what is the real programs running screen would look like? This is the design screen.
Reviewing 2 RC1 (Dec 16, 2004)
Very easy on the eyes, and it seems very good for the freeware that it is.
This seems to be designed for people that need to keep track of hundreds of different programs and registration data, so unless you're a network admin or something, I'd just use something like KeePass. I do. It's much less hassle.
