Stunnel 4.22

Publisher's Description:

Stunnel is designed to work as an SSL encryption wrapper between remote client and local (inetd-startable) or remote server. It can be used to add SSL functionality to commonly used inetd daemons like POP2, POP3, and IMAP servers without any changes in the programs' code.

  • New: global option to control logging to syslog: syslog = yes|no. Simultaneous logging to a file and the syslog is now possible
  • New: service level option to control stack size: stack =
  • Fix: Restored chroot() to be executed after decoding numerical userid and groupid values in drop_privileges()
  • Fix: A few bugs fixed the in the new libwrap support code
  • Fix: TLSv1 method used by default in FIPS mode instead of SSLv3 client and SSLv23 server methods
  • Fix: OpenSSL GPL license exception update based on http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#GPLIncompatibleLibs
