LOL, I rated this a 4, why? JetAudio, is better. How ever if you do not wish to use JetAudio, limited formats is fine. The toolbar, must be a joke. I seen better.

i love this player, it plays my music, has built in audioscrobbler support, it's stable, ...ok, the developer could replace the existing toolbar icons with nicer ones lol but ok, an audio player has to play music, not to look cute ;) *happy vuplayer user since last summer*

Yes it's fugly but unlike Fubar, it's also practical. Fubar: THAT'S a fugly AND half-baked interface (no volume control or EQ easily accessible - were they even thinking when they built that interface?). Like Fubar, this app also sports some of the best sound quality available and support for a plethora of formats out of the box. For a music player, this is definitely one of the best available.
Five stars for a superlative minimalistic player and kudos to an author who actually comprehends that concept.

Nice that it plays most file formats natively, but sorry...this thing is Fugly! This thing has been around for a few years now, so why does it still look like something from the days of Win 3.1?
I'm not looking for a bunch of fancy skinz, but at least a GUI that isn't so huge, a better button layout, etc. Sound quality isn't any better than anything else out there, so I don't see the attraction. Author clearly states in his forum he'll never do any changes to appearance of it.I'd rather have a slightly more attractive, smaller frontend, than say those big outsize VU meters it offers. But that is just me.I'll stick to my 2.81 WA & plugins, thanks
