Visual Comparer is a software utility having text files and files of special formats comparison as the main feature. Visual Comparer allows you to load text files for comparing, perform matching and merging operations as well as to edit the text as if it were a fully-functional text editor. The high speed of loading and comparing of files will allow you to carry out matching of your files with a size over 2 Mbytes in just a few seconds. Visual Comparer is intended mainly for software and web site developers who require a special text editor with syntax highlighting and visual comparing feature.

This tool is great ! Probably the best freeware to compare two files ! But one feature is missing : We can't compare two directories like in WinMerge. So, I'll probably use this tool to compare just two files, but I'll still use WinMerge to compare two directories.

I use this program everyday. I've set up it with WinCVS to be the "external diff" program and works so great. Syntax colouring, the comparison Map, and the ease of use are just some of the benefits. I hope it keep being better and better.

Very nice! This is the best freeware file comparison tool I've used. The integrated fully-featured text editing capability is a big plus, and the application looks slick.
