Publisher's Description

WebPacker can convert HTML files and related images into a single, compressed and encrypted HTML based eBook. It protects the eBook contents against improper modification or viewing the source code; giving authors, publishers and web designers a secure channel for showing, promoting and selling their eBooks. Once you have the HTML pages ready you can turn them into a self-running eBook by selecting a few options and clicking the Compile button. Its eBooks are displayed using the same engine that uses Microsoft Internet Explorer because they both support the same HTML.

Good software BAD/Unfair upgrade policy:

There are many good HTML compilers out there and this program is one of them. However, I would not recommend it to other people because of the company’s upgrade policy. If you are a 2.xx licence owner like me, you need to upgrade it to a 3.xx license for $50 to get access to further bug fixes. I wouldn’t mind paying extra for features, IF I wanted them, but to be forced to upgrade for compatibility and functional bug fixes that cause recipients of the distributed e-books to complain is NOT fair.
The jump to version 3.xx was made from version 2.14, without significant feature upgrades. How long before the version jumps to 4.xx and one would have to pay for access to bug fixes? There is plenty of good competition out there.

I thanks also, that WebPacker can create standalone .EXE files from a webpage. But this was not so. I cannot use it. Then, the shareware restiction is very hard, because the eBook work only a few days.

Generally OK. But I miss a function, that I can create a "single EXE-file" from my HTML files. Here in germany I know the software Webexe; The software WebExe converts HTML pages into standalone, self-running EXE files (http://www.aw-soft.com/webexe.html). If WEBPacker! should support this function, it would be a Allrounttalent.
