WinMetro is specially designed to bring the newly introduced Windows 8 Metro UI to Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP. It offers an easy solution for old version Windows users to try and enjoy the tile based Metro UI. By displaying useful information such as weather, calendar, news, stocks, and frequently used programs, it turns your desktop into an informative and productive work station. It also offers the option to boot to Metro Start Screen directly.

Tried it on Windows 7 and swore I'd never use Windows 8 if that was a taste. Now using Windows 8 and love it... But would not recommend it to anyone as they would phone constantly to either curse me or get endless help!

creating big blue icon shortcuts is far from a windows 8 UI but then again if you want to down grade that is part of windows 8 another horrid Microsoft release

Guy, please limit your review to the program, and it's features. Giving it a bad rating because you don't like Window8 is not informative.

Yup, why would someone actually want to downgrade to Windows 8 absolutely ugly Metro interface. Is it useful? I tried it and hate it. Nuff said.
