requires installation. "pro" non-freeware version has less features than the opensource AxCrypt project.

Great program, works well and is very easy to use. If you need to protect data this is very much worth a try.

Nice utility, but I prefer that software that you HAVE to trust be open source. Check out http://www.winpt.org

Uh, duh... It WAS a useful comment at the time. I can't help it if a valid criticism sounds negative. If you ask me if water's wet, I'll say "Yes", and you'll call me "negative". Oh well.

In any case, I'm glad to see that other algorithms have been added since then. But the interface still leaves much to be desired, as does the functionality.

And if that still sounds negative, well deal with it. Honesty counts more than wearing rose-colored glasses and misleading others just because you want to be a "nice guy".

P.S. This program will go shareware once it is out of beta.

Good freeware encryption utility with support for 256-bit AES, Twofish, CAST-256 and Serpent. Only thing missing is the ability to make self-extracting files.

mjm01010101: Thanks for pointing out File2File that can produce self-extracting files.

httpd.confused: Write something useful and stop being so damn negative >:P
