  1. Review - Google Chrome for Windows

    4.0.249.11 Beta (Nov 26, 2009)

It astounds me that people want to use applications, sharing their personal information and habits, from the largest on-line advertising company.

C'mon people, open your eyes to what Google actually are nowadays!

  2. Review - Google Web Accelerator

    0.2.93.115 (Jun 16, 2007)

If you want to help the largest 'polluter' of the internet then install away..

Very poor form trying to fob off usage tracking software in the form of somethingt o help speed up your web browsing.

  3. Review - Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (x86)

    1.30 (Jun 13, 2007)

Does exactly what it states - no more, no less.

  4. Review - Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center (32-bit)

    6.1 (Jun 8, 2007)

    Works perfectly.

For those that slammed it because it doesn't work with XP, well, please do more research... it can't. Period. No matter how much you believe it should. Primary reason is that it hooks into Vista's Sync Center rather than acting as an entirely stand-alone app like ActiveSync.

  5. Review - Spyware Doctor

    5.0.0.174 (Mar 28, 2007)

5.0.174 is better than the initial release (5.0.169) but still turns lots of machines into teapots due to compatibility issues with other AntiVirus programs.

Will be good once they sort out the compatibility issues but avoid for now (and probably the next 3-4 builds if the last 2 are anything to go by).

  6. Comment - Reports: Apple set to fix iPhone 3G connectivity in update

    5.0.0.174 (Aug 17, 2008 - 8:08 AM)

LOL! Just goes to show that the more Apple step out of their little bubble world where they control everything (geee. reminds you of a certain CEO...) the gloss starts to drop off pretty fast and the flaws in the design, manufacture, QA, and even business strategies, start to become so obvious that even the most strident Apple supporters have to concede that their seemingly perfect little Apple is actually just as capable, probably more so due to their insular ecosystems, of royally screwing up.

Seen any Windows Mobile phones have these sorts of issues? Should be more likely given it's not a closed platform like Apple's... and yet you don't see it happening.

  7. Comment - Sophos: Google's Blogger hosts 2% of world's malware

    5.0.0.174 (Jul 25, 2008 - 12:38 AM)

LOL! Google hosting the most malware sites. You can add that to the other verified fact which is that Google also host the most ad-sites that prey on people mistyping URLs.

One day soon hopefully people will realise that Google are one of the biggest polluters of the internet based on the internet properties that they own and what is hosted on those properties.

  8. Comment - Microsoft Income Up 23% in Fiscal Q1 2008 on Skyrocketing Revenue

    5.0.0.174 (Oct 26, 2007 - 5:59 AM)

Yes but they still turned a tidy profit in both quarters (amazing how your own incorrect arguements are inconsistent between posts in the same thread...)

  9. Comment - Microsoft Income Up 23% in Fiscal Q1 2008 on Skyrocketing Revenue

    5.0.0.174 (Oct 26, 2007 - 5:57 AM)

Incorrect - they took the 1.1 billion hit last quarter and still made a few billion profit.

  10. Comment - Microsoft Concedes to Google and States, Will Change Vista Search

    5.0.0.174 (Jun 21, 2007 - 7:16 AM)

    >> Can you explain to me why my system must run a service named ctfmon.exe? I Googled that and it's related to Microsoft Office Suite, something I never had installed on my computer.

Well, that's what you get for using Google I guess... half the story ;-) ctfmon.exe isn't just part of the Office suite, it's part of the OS and used for multi-lingual input. There are KB articles that describe how to remove it but your reasoning is totally absurd.
