  1. Review - Spybot - Search & Destroy (Beta)

    2.0.6 Beta 4 (Oct 6, 2011)

I like Spybot and it has worked well in the past. I was surprised when it would not run at all on my two plain vanilla Windows 7 (64 bit) machines. It seemed to install ok but would not run on either. I think they need to do a bit more wore.

  2. Review - AnyDVD HD

    6.6.3.4 (Apr 9, 2010)

It seems like only about 10 days since I was posting about the newest free update and here we go..another free update. AnyDVD is always updating to stay current with new releases and new schemes. This was one of the best software investments I have ever made. I put it right up there with my free copies of Windows an Office from Microsoft. Updates often and easy from both. Both work well because I keep them away from my kids and etc. I can't think of a more simple and effective way to back up dvds.

  3. Review - AnyDVD HD

    6.6.3.0 (Mar 21, 2010)

Actually I have no need for other aliases. I am using 6.6.3.0 The newest version. Once again free to me as a registered owner. Freeware is great sometimes. I don't mind paying for a great piece of software that is simply the best. I don't have to flame Slysoft or other users.

  4. Review - AnyDVD HD

    6.6.2.0 Beta (Feb 6, 2010)

Same as always has been..the very best of it's kind. Catchpole and his other aliases is just mad because he wants to promote a different product. It has nothing to do with how well this product performs. If it was he would rate it higher than a 1. The rest of us won't let a great product be run down falsely.

  5. Review - Puran Defrag

    7.0 (Jan 29, 2010)

I hate to seem to be the lone dissenter here but after using this defragmentation tool for a few days it has slowed my boot time and loading of my most commonly used programs. I appreciate the work put into it and that is free. I hope they can improve it. For now I'll stay with my current defrag utility.

  6. Comment - Anonymous and LulzSec fire back at FBI in war of words

    7.0 (Jul 21, 2011 - 4:18 PM)

Choosing not to do business with these corporations that are acquiring and selling all your data is like abstaining to vote. Exposing the wrongdoing is like voting against the corruption. Or possibly more akin to investigative reporting. I don't support destruction of websites or etc but I do support fighting corruption, intimidation, and exposing abuse by corporations or public officials.

  7. Comment - Study: Cable/telco competition brings North America slowest, costliest broadband

    7.0 (Oct 18, 2009 - 10:47 AM)

Capitalism and "complaining" have nothing to do with honesty and integrity. I live in a large city and I pay for 20 MB service, but I don't often get it. I agree the US is the best country. Only a fool says if you don't like your cable service you should move to another city or even another country. Openly commenting on the failure of these companies to fulfill contracts is a way to bring it to light and possibly get regulations to force them to do so. People like you encourage them to decieve the public and steal by charging excessive fees for inferior service. You are not part of the cure, you are part of the problem.

  8. Comment - Study: Cable/telco competition brings North America slowest, costliest broadband

    7.0 (Oct 17, 2009 - 1:38 PM)

It's the same old story. Greed. The companies want every drop of profit they can get for the absolute lowest cost to them. They run too many customers on too little bandwidth. We all know how common it is to have your connection slow to a crawl or even fail due to this problem. I pay extra for guaranteed speed and still I get slowdowns too often. Every time you ask that the problem to be looked into, it gets buried behind the phrases "free enterprise" and "we can't stay in business without a profit". Greed is still the American (corporate) way.

  9. Comment - Tech firms battle US job protection laws while importing workers

    7.0 (Feb 7, 2009 - 12:03 PM)

They are hiring from outside to keep the profit margin up. Where do you think those huge salaries and bonus packages come from? While they keep sending jobs ($$) and training ($$) and technology ($$) overseas the US unemployment rate continues to rise. Dollars go overseas and with them the ability to support families and recirculate money in the local economy. This is plain and simple about corporate greed and high pay for CEOs and etc. It's time to stop the lies and coverups. All bailout money should be directed into American business, American products and services, and American workers paychecks.

  10. Comment - Escaped spammer found dead in murder-suicide

    7.0 (Jul 27, 2008 - 8:21 AM)

Look at your own reply. You don't think spammers deserve jail? You think they should be allowed to keep the money they have cheated people out of? They are self centered and care only about themselves. BTW, are you a spammer? Your post makes you look like one.
