  1. Review - SUMo

    3.6.0.199 (May 9, 2013)

    Excellent software updater.
    As for adware or spyware simply use the "Lite" version or .zip portable version available at website.

  2. Review - Mozilla Firefox (Beta)

    19.0 Beta 5 (Feb 7, 2013)

    @LakotaElf and @Music4Ever

    There is NO reason to upgrade every single new release. Your frustrations are all of your own making. I would suggest the ESR > branch which is stable and solid enough for enterprise use.

  3. Review - Adobe Flash Player for Windows (Non-IE)

    11.6.602.105 Beta (Dec 8, 2012)

    Something else is going on here with all the 1&2 stars. Although I'm no lover of flash principally due to Adobe's ambivalence I can't help wondering if your systems are not corrupt in some way.

    At the very least: are you uninstalling using Adobe's official flash uninstaller, reboot, and then re-installing latest version.

    I'm having non of the problems discussed below.
    Tested on several dozen Win7 x86 x64 systems.

  4. Review - Pale Moon

    15.3.2 (Dec 5, 2012)

    for admins:
    I would strongly encourage you to replace FF with PM. 100% compatible w FF.
    I'm sick-and-tired to cleaning our the never-ending web collection of toolbars afflicting official Mozilla releases. Remember: your customers will not read installers! PaleMoon will save admins much distress.

  5. Review - LibreOffice for Windows

    3.6.4 (Dec 5, 2012)

    Calling someone a troll for correctly pointing our fileforums' consistent misuse of American English is simply juvenile. I truly hope all you high-school dropouts do not vote for anything meaningful. Americas' IQ must have dropped 50pts past 25 years.

    Heaven help us if some of you dummies code.

  6. Comment - Market sell-off slams tech stocks

    3.6.4 (Aug 8, 2011 - 1:00 PM)

    It's all George Washington's fault. Ever since he kicked out the Brits it has all been down hill.

    PS. S&P downgrade to US sovereign debt means absolutely nothing. Interests rates have fallen to historical low levels as I write this. US 10 years yields fell to 2.40% meaning the rest of the world continue to buy our debt.

    We are going broke because to 1 Trillion USD spent every year on overseas wars.
    Our economy is heading back into a recession. Bye the bye, Obama has Increased troop deployments by nearly 50% over Bush.

  7. Comment - Sony, Panasonic, Samsung team up to standardize active shutter 3D glasses

    3.6.4 (Aug 8, 2011 - 12:51 PM)

    Took a buch of kid to see see Tranasformer 3 and Rise of the Planet of the Apes both is "Real 3D" and "Dolby 3D" and "IMAX." I am somewhat stunned how LITTLE progress has been made in this 1950's technology since I was a kid.

    3D = very disappointing.
    BlueRay = fantastic.

  8. Comment - Is Microsoft crazy to put a desktop OS on a tablet?

    3.6.4 (Aug 3, 2011 - 12:17 PM)

    Studies show that the overwhelming majority of studies are flawed in their methodologies.

    @frankwick, who funded those studies you site?

  9. Comment - I'll tell you something about Windows

    3.6.4 (Jul 22, 2011 - 2:42 PM)

    "The future of Windows is a utility supporting applications and services that obscure the operating system..." So Joe, you're saying future Windows will be Win-Chromebooks?

  10. Comment - LulzSec outdoes WikiLeaks in stunning disclosure of Arizona documents

    3.6.4 (Jun 24, 2011 - 3:48 PM)

    Terrorists wish to force governments and others to change policies they don't approve of and use attacks to generate panic amongst civilian populations in hope they will apply pressure to their governments. Al Qaeda does this. So does LulzSec. No doubt the people _ I mean terrorists _ of Egypt, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Syria, Italy and the US state of Michigan and Ohio should all be put to death for forcing change in their respective Govt.
