7.0 "Gloria" (Oct 2, 2009)
I was looking for a Linux distro I could run from a USB flash drive. After trying all the distros that have that capability, Mint came out on top for trouble-free installation, and smooth functioning plus excellent customisability once installed. I opted for the Gnome-based 64-bit edition. I would happily recommend Mint to any Windows user who wishes to get the feel of what Linux has to offer.
9.55 (Oct 2, 2009)
Same nasty glitch as in 9.54 (but not in 9.53 or any previous version).
9.54 (Sep 19, 2009)
I usually have nothing but praise for this program, but this release has a serious glitch - it mangled a whole load of my registry entries, mainly those specifying the path to a driver (the actual entries, not just the way they appear in Autoruns). I had to restore a backup image of my system to save myself from disaster.
