Excellent update :) Love how the AVS is now bundled with it again... Also like how you can hid the system tray icon for the WinAMP Agent, although I think you should also be able to change the icon it uses too :)
1.0.0 (Jan 28, 2000)
The output the program gives (sample on webpage) looks good, but it needs perl to run :( Not installing perl just for a MP3 reporting tool... Maybe you should mention it needs perl in the description?

Like the new program (had a look of the screenshots on the alpha site), but it won't install... Just hangs when you start install and then a while later it says a big error about how the Connection Lifetime has been Exceeded...

First off, why go to a different messaging platform? First off, they probably have friends on ICQ who are not going to switch, and ICQ is fine how it is for a lot of people... It's obvious the person doesn't want PowWow, but wants ICQ 2000a Alpha v4.22 - Your not helping very much if you can't see that :(

I don't know if this will work, but it is worth a try... Find and download the first ICQ2000a version with the loader or the hosts method, and then use it for a bit (message a few people, etc) That should mean it recognizes you as having used the alpha, and then on the ICQ Alpha site (www.icq.com/alpha/) go to the download page, and the download link, and on the restricted page there is a button letting existing alpha users get it, which might suggest that if you have a previous alpha installed it might work...
But I don't know, I've successfully installed the new alpha on top of my old alpha, works great :)
99b Beta v.3.19 Build #2569 (Feb 14, 2000 - 5:47 AM)
I think that it is a good minor release... Notice that its a 2.x release, only bug fixes and minor features... They are probably working on WinAMP 3.0 at least part of the time now though, wonder what they will include in it, free-form skinning would be good :) I like this release because they updated the AVS and included it by default :) The install is also better how it lets you choose what you want to choose now :)

Lots of anti virus companies already make other software :) Norton Utilities and a host of other stuff for Norton and things like Nuts and Bolts and network stuff for Network Assosiates :)

Lots of people don't use Netscape because it doesn't support half of the stuff IE does, and it is so picky at how it is coded... Netscape makes a shell for Windows? Ha, will probably find some way to disable half of the 32bit subsystem and kill screensavers and desktop wallpapers because they are not standards in Netscape's view :P
