@yours truly I agree with you that pasting a URL is broken in Safari, and to me it is inexcusable for a browser to not allow you to simply paste a URL. In fact, a 'paste and go' feature is pretty much standard for most modern web browsers. There is, however, a trick which allows you to paste URL's in Safari. After you paste the URL, click the space bar.
Other than that, I have always enjoyed Safari because it renders fonts much better than any other browser. If I am going to spend any time reading text on web pages, I will always use Safari. Far less strain on my old eyes.
5.0.3 (Nov 18, 2010)
The one reason I prefer Safari sometimes to other browsers is for its font smoothing. No other browser comes close to rendering fonts the way Safari can. It just make websites so much easier to read. However, the one thing I do not like is that Safari does not have icons on its bookmarks bar. I don't like "wordy" bookmark bars, and prefer just to stick the icons on the bar (which I can do in all other browsers). If and when Safari includes icons, I will be much more likely to use it much more often. As it is now, I just don't use Safari as my main browser because of this.
11 Build 1029 Alpha (Oct 21, 2010)
For an alpha, I am extremely impressed. I can't really give it a "5" because it doesn't have all the features yet. I've been using Chrome exclusively for months, but whoa, Opera 11 is noticeable faster. Well done! Looking forward to future builds, and I might consider a browser change!
3.0.0.4119 Beta (Sep 3, 2010)
I installed this version of Flock (uninstalling the previous version first) and it locked my system. After rebooting, my system ran extremely slow - so I did a restore to earlier in the day and my system ran fine. Now, I don't know for certain that the Flock installation did this, but it just seems strange that it happened right when I installed this new version of Flock. By the way, if you think this is spam, simply scroll down and read my earlier reviews.
4.0 Beta 4 (Aug 24, 2010)
I have never been a big fan of add ons, so what I want in Firefox is a fast, smooth and secure browser with good built-in features. Firefox 4 beta 4 is certainly fast.
The app tabs feature is working a bit better with this new version. Firefox now remembers your app tabs after you close the browser. However, I still don't see a way to "lock" a tab, preventing me from browsing to another site on that tab.
My biggest problem with Firefox at this point is font smoothing. I am not the youngest guy in the world, and I don't have the best eyesight. Firefox by far renders fonts the worst of any browser I use. I'd really like Firefox to implement a font smoothing feature, so that it gives us old guys a chance to actually "see" text on websites. I run websites for a living, and I simply can not use Firefox for browsing/updating my own sites. This makes Firefox a less viable option of my default web browser.
But overall I am very pleased with everything else about Firefox 4, Beta 4 right now.

Yeah, they're stroking themselves, too. I forgot to mention that. Thanks.

I'm a real person, and strangely, I don't care about the deal.
4.0 Beta 4 (Aug 12, 2011 - 9:37 AM)
I had the "game tab" yesterday at one point, but now it's gone. I never played games on Facebook, and one of the things I didn't like about Facebook was the spam from gaming. I used to work in the gaming industry, so a lot of my friends are playing (and developing) Facebook games. But I simply am not interested in the games. I played a game on Google+ yesterday, just to test it out, and I didn't see it spam the stream. That was a major plus! I'm hoping that people will use gaming posts strictly in gaming circles. When it comes down to it, in order for Google+ to work well, it's going to take interaction between two people to decide which circles/post types they are interested in from each other . . .which is a lot better than Facebook offers.
4.0 Beta 4 (Jul 22, 2011 - 7:22 PM)
I have Google+, I use it every day. I basically love it for the "hangouts", which is basically a one-on-one or group video chat. I never video chatted with anyone prior to Google+, and now I can keep up with my family across the country every day. It is still way too early to tell, but I think I will enjoy it more than Facebook. It's cleaner, and isn't cluttered with a lot of junk. The BEST thing Google did was its "little black bar" . . so when I set Google as my homepage, I can access Google+ and Gmail without having to add bookmarks to my browser for both. The thing I HATE about Google+ right now is that there are a lot of "techies" on it. The majority of their posts tend to be links to web articles. Frankly, if I wanted to read about the mating habits of a fruit fly, I'd just do a search for it. I also don't like the way posts are shared by someone. It actually reposts it to your stream, and it just clutter up your stream. But I am sure that Google is going to address this fairly quickly, as it is an obvious flaw.
