  1. Review - Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer

    2.0.94 Beta (Aug 7, 2003)

This build has been out for several days. I like this tool bar vey much. Pop up killer in it works great. I did not install the advanced version. This is, however a very nice tool to have.

  2. Review - Netscape Navigator for Windows

    7.0 Preview Release 1 (May 22, 2002)

OK...not bad. I have always been an IE man anyway, but this looks to be interesting. One question...anyone know of any popup killers that work with this new version of Netscape ?

  3. Review - Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows XP

    6.0 Public Preview (Mar 26, 2001)

The Windows Update site is all goofed up for me while running IE 6.0. I cannot download and install critical updates that I already had installed.(hmmmm) and I see not one, but four instances of this...

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Public Preview is Off

Time: 20:59 EST/01:59 GMT | News Source: ActiveWin | Posted By: Robert Stein
After a few hours of availability, it seems that Microsoft has pulled down from its servers the Internet Explorer 6.0 Public Preview Beta files for some obscure reasons. As many of our readers stated in the comments board downloading Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 PPB is now impossible. Apparently Microsoft will officially re-release Internet Explorer 6 Public Preview on monday. So for those of you who didn't manage to download the whole thing be patient! For the lucky others, enjoy this new version of Internet Explorer, and don't forget to log bugs :)

  5. Review - AOL Instant Messenger for Windows

    4.3.2229 (Dec 28, 2000)

I put this latest AOL in last evening and have had no problems with it whatsoever. As far as ICQ goes, I have reverted back to the 99b because of too many freeze ups with the 2000b. I use both messengers extensively and each one has it's own little niche on the net. Many of my contacts on IM are afraid to mess with ICQ or are hesitant to try it, so we communicate on IM...no big deal.

  6. Comment - AOL Connects AIM, ICQ Networks

    4.3.2229 (Jun 13, 2003 - 5:42 PM)

Trillian is nice, but it does not allow ICQ to communicate with AOL IM. It only incorporates the multiple messengers into one application.

  7. Comment - Advertisements in ICQ Messages?

    4.3.2229 (Mar 8, 2001 - 5:57 PM)

I have learned my lesson. The only ICQ that I run is the 99b version. No ads and it runs just fine for me.

There was no link to a Win Me version at the place the dude sent me...thanks anyway.

Well no b****ing from me...just deleting and uninstalling ! LOL...IE may not be perfect, but it still is the best...period...case closed.

  10. Comment - Netscape Preview Release 3 Final Beta

    4.3.2229 (Oct 6, 2000 - 4:11 PM)

Well at least the uninstall went fine for me. I will put Navigator 4.08 back in as my back up browser. I always seem to migrate right on back to IE. Nice and safe and stable with few problems. Anyone figure out how to remain in a web page after clicking ok for a download ? It does not always happen, just once in a while. This is in IE 5.5.
