Excellence is hard to achieve and for free it is truly a genuine gift for the community. Great AV.
BTW Javascripts will be checked when they enter the PC into the caches. Sometimes the simplest approach for scanners is still the best.

Great firewall and better than ever security. The newer versions runs beautiful. The updated GUI is excellent. An excellent bargain for the price.

This is the great Zone Alarm firewall with the spyscanner built in. Exactly the same as the Zone Alarm Pro, except there is no Privacy or content filtering. The content filtering is easily replaced by the content filtering of the browser themselves such as FirFox or Opera. The component control and the OSFirewall is present.
Does well in leak tests and is excellent for securing the Windows OS.

Free or paid (20 Euros is cheap)is great! Great heuristics! Great compatibility with other security applications such as firewalls and antispies. Very reliable and a very large definitions database. Read and write is always scanned. Premiun (paid version) does have a dedicated email scanner, and the free (Classic) version does scan all mail as downloaded/opened. Not bad on resoureces either. More spyware/malware capability in the paid version than the free version. No cons, just pluses! Oldsod

Opera _ one of the nicest to use and safest browsers (re secunia no known exploits are left unpatched).
Opera alpha 10 is an alpha and not a final release - so expect problems and have some fun testing.
I love to tweak and add items, buttons, content menu extras, and tinker to no end with this browser. It is a customization dream come true.
Safe, fast and reliable.
The apparent lack of the adblock can be replaced by the urlfilter.ini or the content blocking by either default lists or "on the fly".
No Scripts is possible in Opera with custom site configurations to allow content for desired sites and block the other sites globally. Ditto for accepting the cookies. It is all there, but in a different approach - it is already built in the browser ready to be used.
Been playing with custom adblocking.css and .js and find out that these are very good to block bad or unwanted content.
Nothing like these really should be limited to some third party extentions/addons that are needed for other browsers if the browser comes with these features.

Just purchased a new DELL a few months ago. I gave up trying to remove all of their added crap. I gave up trying it the hard way. I just reformated and reinstalled. A smooth running and very clean PC! Lost one day, but it was worth it!
