   I think the way the Title has been written is misleading:
   
   It is "Java SE Development Kit (JDK) 7 build b17 for Windows" and not a Java Se Development Kit (JDK) for "Windows 7 b17" (as we may notice the next vesion of windows is called "Windows 7").

   No its not a typo, Sun has bumped the version to 5.0.
   
   This is the explication why java was named 'java 2' when sun released Java 1.2.
   
   1.4 was a very a major release (as 1.5.. ahum 5.0). This version deserved more then the '0.1' incrementation..
   
   The next major version will be 6.0 (or 5.1 for revision number)

   I prefer Gnome, but KDE is (also) a *great* software!
