  1. Review - DVDFab All-In-One

    4.1.1.6 Beta (Mar 23, 2008)

DVDFab is great. I downloaded and opened the program and it did what I wanted. I now have my DVD on my hard drive where I want it. It is easy to put it on my MP3 player from here.

My first trial was a success so I am happy.

  2. Comment - Columbia University professor could trigger a Blu-ray injunction

    4.1.1.6 Beta (Mar 21, 2008 - 11:32 PM)

I am so used to patent trolls and squaters filing these lawsuits, I am surprised to see "the dreaded Section 337" used for a real purpose. If she invented the process and they copped it, she deserves to be paid.

I don't care about the format wars or the companies involved. They should have known the process they used was not public domain. It is not like you can go to the library to research that process. It may be on wikipidia now but that does not make it right.

  3. Comment - One less botnet master in business after guilty plea

    4.1.1.6 Beta (Mar 21, 2008 - 3:40 PM)

Up to 10 years is not nearly enough of a penalty. I am a non-geek with some technical ability. That makes me the guy who gets stuck fixing the messes from these botnets.

  4. Comment - A kid-safe service scours the Web for good content

    4.1.1.6 Beta (Mar 20, 2008 - 11:48 PM)

I can tell how many of you have kids. My son had a cell phone since he was 8. It is very nice to have a phone in your youngsters hands when they happen to wander off.

I don't know if his phone has internet so I must be a bad parent by your standards. I also let him use a computer to serf the internet without watching what he does. When I do check the sites he visited, I am not shocked to see that he visited kids sites. Imagine that, 9 year olds do not visit porn sites.
