  1. Review - Weather Watcher Live

    7.1.94 (Jun 17, 2013)

I like this application and seldom, if ever have I ever given Weather Watcher Live less than a 5 star review. If you don't like this program, don't use it and at the same time don't rate it simly because he happens to charge for it. I'm willing to bet that 99% of you folks are trolls and you'd want all software to be free and still you'd complain.

Keep up the good work, Mike Singer, right along with all the other folks who charge for their software downloads which some of are good and others which leave a bit to be desired.

"I haven't tried just release and I don't plan to. I've tried earlier versions twice and got rid of them. It surely does not warrant a 5 star rating"

Your 1 start review is not valid for this particular build according to your own words. Therefore, you do not know whether this current build warrants a 5 or 1 start rating. Why trash something you haven't even tried?

  3. Review - LibreOffice for Windows

    4.0.2 RC2 (Mar 27, 2013)

    Reviewing 4.0.0 RC2 (Jan 28, 2013)

Compared to FreeOffice (a free office suite by German developer SoftMaker) it's pretty slow, needs to much resources, and destroys a lot of formats when you open files from Microsoft Office. FreeOffice is definitely better.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm inclined to believe that something is wrong with your computer because my experience is that LibreOffice is blazing fast, does not destroy the formats you mention from MS Office and runs every bit as quickly and without error as does Free Office and MS Office.

"I use this on a regular basis. I see no bloat, it does what it says it will. I don't use the pay services, but the call quality is crisp and clear."
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By and large, those who say there is bloat are trolls.

  5. Review - Becky! Internet Mail

    2.63.00 (Oct 2, 2012)

If you're new to this fileforum board you probably don't realize that some guy has nothing good to say about any software. It's doubful he even tests it. As for AOL, they ain't dead by a long shot as much as you'd like to think so. Get used to Aol being around for quite some time.

This program works as designed. And no, like many, I wouldn't pay the price after the time out period.

  6. Comment - Verizon Wireless hosts major LTE expansion tomorrow in 11 states

    2.63.00 (Aug 17, 2011 - 7:50 PM)

You can bet the folks who live in those cities and have Verizon Wireless are pleased with the news.

  7. Comment - Beta This! Symantec tests new security software for Android

    2.63.00 (Aug 15, 2011 - 2:16 PM)

Based on my experience with Symantec I find that it uses considerably more resources than Microsoft Security Essentials and is every bit as good, if not better.

  8. Comment - AOL makes a move on Craigslist's classified territory

    Good for AOL!

  9. Comment - The new deal for Windows 7 testers

    2.63.00 (Feb 3, 2009 - 8:07 PM)

Vista was no problem and never has been for me and many, many others. The friend of a friend of a friend might have had a problem...maybe, but doubtful unless it was on a sub par OS.

  10. Comment - Senate considers delaying DTV transition until June

    Of course people care, Tool.
