Hear hear! Phew. I was really rather chuffed to see carlvui taken him down a peg or two.

JV16 has been a 'bleeding edge' utility since time in memorial. Back in the day, it could break your machine in a heartbeat, if you didn't know what you were doing. Still can if you muck about w/ its settings. This is a 'big boy tool'.

Here comes 'x' with...well, let's say here comes carlvui et al.

Guerilla marketing. [Must have caught sight of the worldcup snafu by the Dutch Brewery] and to master the word 'guerilla', used it in a sentence hence we get his contribution.

Don't mean 'nuttin' by it, carlvui. Just a little riled coz this site is really not for passive discussion but for industrial strength considerations and contributions.

Not for colour coded pc assemblers but for those with an intimate understanding of how the entire system [HW & SW] work together.

Couldn't help but giggle at your fussing about IE9. Quite brilliant if you like that sort of thing [2 million and counting did]

But for a few issues with activex, it's akin to picking up a new car and putting it through its paces.

One thing - Microsoft 'lifted' the idea from chrome. One can display the menu bar [a MAJOR gripe for chrome] but, much of the back engineering including bells and whistles is chrome.

Adore the new search bar context. They'd promised this a looooong time ago and are only implementing it now. Ostensibly their logic here is better late than never.

Nonetheless, it appears to have a minor footprint and isn't leaking memory like its ancestors.

Visually, nice and airy. Curiosities, favourites indicated on right of browser but if you pin them, over to the left they go. A hint at dynamism perhaps? Very very very user and !diot friendly oob.

Like it but keeping a portable chrome on hand for industrial strength computing if needed [bloody thing crashed in the midst of a game at 'instantchess'!. MS, that's one!

The country really is trending negatively. We are on a glide path back to where we are coming from.

Examples:

It is exactly that 'us against them' mentality that the original article dares to address. Techs elevated to visible positions, job titles and roles mixed up and you have a nasty situation like Dave sought to address.

What's with the sweeping statements? the reasoning from the particular to the general? [...too many of these organizations waste up to half their income...]

Instead of cursing the darkness, light a candle... and when making certain statements, be careful of your sources. Then again, why should you be? It's not like a company's stock will rise or fall on the basis of your undisciplined mind and loose tongue.
