  1. Review - Ubuntu

    8.04 RC (Apr 20, 2008)

At long last! A linux distro that works (without any additional tweaking) with my Presario's V5000 wireless Broadcom card.

  2. Comment - This blog post could save you from Steve Jobs' iPhone 4 Reality Distortion Field

Thank you! Finally someone agrees with me. I've had ATT since way back when it was Bellsouth Mobility (even before Cingular) and I have yet to have one single call dropped. Their service is great in the Miami/Ft Lauderdale metro area.

  3. Comment - If mobile-to-cloud sync is big in 2010, it's game over for Microsoft

    8.04 RC (Dec 29, 2009 - 5:13 AM)

The demise of Microsoft has been foretold by clueless bloggers for decades. Not gonna happen folks! Not gonna happen...

  4. Comment - Unconvinced by Windows 7? Ubuntu 9.10 debuted today!

    8.04 RC (Oct 30, 2009 - 5:51 AM)

Installed it inside Windows. Everything went ok until I tried and couldn't access my windows partition/files. Looked for help on this issue and found none. That was the show stopper for me. Uninstalled it immediately.

  5. Comment - The oldest trick in the book, literally, defeats UAC in Windows 7

    8.04 RC (Feb 1, 2009 - 7:45 AM)

This thing has received a lot of bad press in every blog you can think of (more than it should for a beta program). The sad thing bout it is that if and when MS fixes this on the RTM, no one is going to mention it (at least not as much as this), and people are going to stay with the belief that there is something wrong with W7. Talk about bad press...

  6. Comment - From the ME: Betanews releases Alpha

    8.04 RC (Jan 14, 2009 - 6:33 AM)

This new look is a total disaster imho. If you can't make something better than it was, then leave it alone. Change just for the sake of change is crazy.
