    i like this program. i don't use aol anymore either, but some of my family does. i've forwared it to them.

    to those discussing hotmail: a program called Web2Pop allows you to use hotmail and yahoo accounts as a pop account. i use it for my yahoo accounts. it's not free though, so i'm sure that will piss most of you off.

    hmm, freeware? last time i looked it was 21.95/month. anyway, this version is nothing worth updating to. and god i hate aol. i've been trying to cancel the account for months and everytime i call them, they keep offering me another free month. i haven't paid them in forever. maybe it is freeware :).

    If "what you hear" is that Whistler's new features are the same as DesktopX, i suggest you check out DesktopX for youself and see that it is totally different than what whistler offers. In whistler, the only new thing is it's built in skinning, which could possibly render WindowBlinds obsolete for some people, but for those who know WindowBlinds is still far superior to MS's attempt at skinning. so NO, whistler sure won't make DesktopX obsolete.

    it stops them, or it turns them on to the warez world. it isn't like microsoft was hurting when their software was the most pirated software around, so why all the fuss over trying to stop piracy? i guess they needed to add to their billion dollar empire.
