  1. Review - Microsoft Windows Live OneCare

    1.5.1890.30 (Apr 5, 2007)

Installed it on Vista Premium thinking this would be my all-in-one solution for Antivirus/Firewall, etc. I have an XP machine at home as well, and AVG Free 7.5 running on that machine which detected a backdoor virus and quarantined that virus immediately. I was puzzled why I didn't receive the same message on my Vista machine with OneCare which had the same infected file right on my desktop, I even right clicked it and scanned it with OneCare, newest defs, no infection detected. Uninstalled OneCrap and re-installed AVG Free 7.5, and it immediately detected the backdoor virus and quarantined it.

  2. Comment - PlayStation 3 Loses as Much as $307 Per Unit Sold

I can't wait to see the flames and cries of outrage on blogs abroad of the horrific bugs that will emerge from this console. Whether it be overheating issue, hardware issue, software issue, or firmware issue, there is going to be bugs. You HAVE to be a fanboy to dole out 600 clams for a video game console. I personally would much rather buy a Core 2 Duo laptop for the price it would cost me to buy a 60GB PS3, 1 extra controller, a memory card, and 1 game.

I put my family jewels on the line when I say that the PS3 will be Sony's "nail-in-the-coffin"

  3. Comment - Firefox 2.0 vs. IE7 in Vista: How Close?

    1.5.1890.30 (Oct 26, 2006 - 9:37 AM)

Firefox didn't need a complete overhaul like IE did. Firefox 1.5 was extremely successful and needed little aesthetic improvement or added functionality. Besides, it was version 1.5 with frequent updates and it went up half a version number. IE 7 went up an entire version number with no update in 5 years, not to mention the countless numbers of security holes, so yea, they needed a complete overhaul.
