  1. Review - America's Army

    : Special Forces (Direct Action) 2.5 (Oct 14, 2005)

I haven't played the latest release. I came here to read reviews about it but instead found a political statement and a low rating.

If you have a problem with this game and its genre, please jump on the first plane to Washington, D.C. and do a little lobbying there. Don't come to a site that REVIEWS software and rate the product based on your political beliefs.

How did the game play? How were the physics? Was the AI suitable? Were the graphics realistic? No, you cannot answer any of these questions because you're so caught up in your own little world that you cannot see there are a lot of people out there who enjoy this type of game.

There are many games out there involving war scenarios. The classic Man vs. Man storyline has always been intriguing. Many kids growing up play "war" and "cops and robbers".

Get over yourself and leave the politicizing for another forum.

  2. Review - America's Army

    2.0.0a (Feb 25, 2004)

What did you all miss when this game was first released??? The army stated that they put this game together to give anyone thinking about joining the army a little taste of the experience. You all seem to think this game is trying to brainwash people into joining the forces and committing every atrocity you've ever heard of. Have some of those things happend, yup. We're not proud of it. But there are thousands of examples of compassion and caring for each of the episodes you're bringing up. Again, keep your political agenda away from the game review and go blow hot air on one of your obviously biased political forums.

Games okay... but I'm giving it a five now to offset the sophomoric "reviews" below.

  3. Review - Intel Desktop Control Center

    1.0 (Oct 29, 2003)

I could not install it since I did not have one of the two boards supported right now: Intel Desktop Board D875PBZ or D865PERL

Too bad, I was looking forward to seeing this product in action.

  4. Review - Microsoft Windows Memory Diagnostic

    Beta (Aug 1, 2003)

The paranoia in here made me HAVE to download this. I cannot believe some of brainwashing people have gone through. I don't like all of MS's practices, but something fishy about this program?? Come on, get real!

I give it a four for lack of documentation. I don't claim to know what these tests are, but here are the tests it ran: MATS+, INVC, LRAND, Stride6, WMATS+, WINVC.

  5. Review - RealPlayer for Windows

    2.0 Beta Build 6.0.11.780 (Aug 21, 2002)

Oh.. and one more thing.. EVERYONE hates this program, gives it low scores, yet it's still rating out at 3.7! WHAT is going on here? I know it COULDN'T have gotten that high of ratings early on!

  6. Comment - Report: EU Prepares 497 Million Euro Fine Against Microsoft

    2.0 Beta Build 6.0.11.780 (Mar 23, 2004 - 1:34 PM)

If you prefer something else, then use it. MS does not make you use the software they bundle.

I can understand EU's problem with not sharing "information needed to make their servers compatible with Windows desktop systems" to an extent. But stripping WMP from Windows is one of the most rediculously wasteful things I have ever heard. There are other more legitimate directions they could take. This is like putting Al Capone in prison for tax evasion because they couldn't get anything else on him.

  7. Comment - U.S. Rolls Out National Cyber Alert System

    2.0 Beta Build 6.0.11.780 (Feb 5, 2004 - 1:23 PM)

Yup, we're making TONS of money on Iraq. Whew!

  8. Comment - U.S. Rolls Out National Cyber Alert System

    2.0 Beta Build 6.0.11.780 (Feb 3, 2004 - 3:53 PM)

Yawn, get over yourself. It sounds really nice that you sit in your ivory tower and see the world as black and white.

You REALLY believe that there is a large difference between the Democrats and Republicans? They all lie, cheat and do whatever it takes to get re-elected. I think that most of them enter politics with the greatest of intentions, but the system chews them up and spits them out.

You cannot possibly be watching anything in media today and say that ONLY the Republicans use fear mongering. If so, then you are viewing the world through rose colored glasses.

  9. Comment - Novell Ratchets Up Linux Support

    2.0 Beta Build 6.0.11.780 (Nov 17, 2003 - 6:35 PM)

Sony? You're going to name your child Sony? And you're considering Sony an American company?

Splitting hairs can be so much fun sometimes. :D

  10. Comment - Pesky Messenger Service Disabled in Windows XP SP2

    2.0 Beta Build 6.0.11.780 (Oct 31, 2003 - 4:06 PM)

Dammit why did you tell us that?? I wanted to LEARN what you meant by IE! :D

Really though, some people just don't KNOW what is causing the popups. They don't go into forums to hear the "talk" about the messenger service. They are new to the problems with being exposed to the internet. I had a friend who was getting the popups (when he first got dsl) and he was totally frustrated with where they were coming from. I told him how to turn off the service and quickly pointed him in the direction of a good software firewall. Now he understands what can be done and wants to learn more.
