   Review - Ubuntu

   8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) Alpha 3 (Jul 26, 2008)

   I have been keeping my eye on linux for over 10 years. Probably once a year I install one of the flavors and try it out, just to see how linux is coming along.
   I have Ubuntu 8.04 Dapper Drake installed on one box right now. It recognized all of my hardware including my graphics card and wireless adapter.
   Great Job! Even my LAN card, so I was downloading updates right away. Also the package manager is great, it installs most of the updates and optional user chosen software.
   I'm really impressed with Ubuntu. That was always the problem in the past was after I installed linux it wouldn't recognize the wireless adapter.
   The linux community over with Ubuntu is doing a great job, they have adddressed and overcame some of the biggest drawbacks. (Now if my HP all in one printer would run a bit better) But otherwise it's looking very good!
