1.8.5b Beta (Jul 11, 2001)
I know the key you speak of it has a 1000 user limit and it will not work on the newer releases, prolly a hack key from the net.
1.4a (May 18, 2001)
I find it quite amusing the users are loading more bloat, onto an already overbloated once usefull now bogged down msg program, which is now owned by tyrAnny On Line, the king of bloat-ware and spam.
6.0 Final (Nov 15, 2000)
although it's kinda good to see browser competition, its smells of tyrAnny On Line. no thanks
1.5.4 (Aug 6, 2000)
this is a neat little app.. its simplicity is refreshing. i hope that it dose not wind up with tons of useless features (bloatware). the gui icons are a little bulky but they are very functional. i'm not sure if i'd want to pay 20 bucks for it untill it has little more flexability (file format, bitrate, ect.) and their web site is a little cheesy, still this is a handy little program. Seems to run fairly clean under win2k ( 1720 k ).

latest review from nt5 (2000) install:
no uninstall for add remove, .. nose in the book penalty
upon shuting down the program, it still leaves a resident process,... consuming 4,720k .. nose in the book again.
this is Not, a good thing .. other then that it shows more progress.

A capitol responce. Those of us who possess skills or just plain don't have tolerance for doltware will always protect or customise our desktop.

The stinky cheese to this is not the services provided by either vendor, its of course the method of their approach onto Your desktop. Those of us who have skills, and experience will, as always, protect ourselves and customize our desktop and it's 'real-estate'. Makes me laugh, msn has their own avenue, and so does aol, which people need to remember is a 'content provider'. While most computer enthusiasts and hard core users would not be caught dead infecting their pc with aol software, it still has a purpose for the lazy, inexperienced, or even dolt's. Let me explain it this way .. lets say you have a house, a yard .. 'real-estate', and your favorite candidate is running for office. Now, my favorite candidate is someone else, yet I'm going to place a big friggin sign in your yard, advertiseing my candidate. Now if you take down my sign, I'm going to place my candidates cd's into your children's cereal box's .. because of course you won't mind,.. right? Yeah I'll get right on that.

AOL's Magic Carpet ... what a well choosen description. Much like their flagship "controlled content service" which looks like something out of a bad layered cartoon. They have come along way in an attempt to shed their kiddie-surfer image. Yet it's still a toss up between ironic and how sad it is to see Aol herd users like a lot of sheep. Aol knows they can change the service, or charge what they want, because their users will just pay it. Sound like bashing..? Maybe not, after years of listening to the differences between what normal users and aol users have of the internet and service, how to connect etc., the results are humorous and frightening. Must be a new way to define job security. I wonder if Adolf Case doesn't get the real estate on XP he cries for, if then he will go back to placing his cd's into children's cereal boxes. Or, placing unwanted icons on your desktop after installing other programs even after you click 'no', what cheese.

I like how 5 paragraphs/sentances have turned this into an aol issue. My friggin' heart just bleeds for steve case and his banner revenue, same goes for the people who sell out to their fascist sheepware.
