  2. Review - The GIMP

    The GIMP is an awesome program, but it was originally written only for Linux/Unix. My thanks goes out to Tor Lillqvist for taking the time to port it to Win32! This program does probably 99% of what Adobe Photoshop (Retail: something like US$600) does, but for free! Although slightly buggy, it works great. (To get a version with fewer bugs, check out Tor Lillqvist's web site!)

    Tpecora - I agree. I'm glad to see others out there interested in the computer world who also celebrate the true Christmas.

    fewt - in response to your statment about people creating religion - the Bible refers to Christianity as a religion.

    James 1:27 - Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world

    Also, you said, "Priests do not speak God's word, they speak the word of the men (and or women) who created the bible." The bible says, in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Christianity was not created by men, nor were the facts in the bible. Preists and pastors aren't speaking the words of men, but words of God

    how hypocritical - you're saying "May God have mercy on your souls, for we will not." - if you're saying that God have mercy on their souls, why aren't you being merciful? i agree that they need to be punsihed, but they need to be forgiven at the same time. we, as individuals need to forgive the terrorists; the US government, as a government, should punish the terrorists

    my guess would be unix. if IBM wants to call it 100% their own computer, though, they'll put their own os in the thing.
