  1. Review - IObit Smart Defrag

    5.01 Beta (Apr 18, 2008)

Good smart defrag and the ability to defrag on the fly and monitor the system is very good.

It is indeed adware, as it states so marking it 1 makes no sense. Have you even tried it??

  2. Review - AutoVer

    1.2.1 (Feb 19, 2008)

This does what it says, backup up stuff with versioning.

Fantastic for keeping track of client documents and work!!

  3. Review - XdN Tweaker

    0.8.8.6 (Jan 20, 2008)

Not too bad, does have a few handy tweaks, but seen better.
Why do people still downgrade for .Net applications. Makes no real difference these days, it is the way many apps will go now, so learn to live with it!!

  4. Review - LEGO Digital Designer for Windows

    2.3 (Dec 10, 2007)

This is a superb bit of software for kids and adults!
    Fun and educational.

roymccoy - To review a product that you have never tried seems a bit daft to me!

  5. Review - SUPER ©

    2007.build.23 (Jul 4, 2007)

This is a great little app. Been making loads of use of it. It is a bit of a strange interface, but functional and does the job!

  6. Comment - Sony offers virtual goods as payback for PlayStation Network outage: a worthy refund?

    2007.build.23 (May 18, 2011 - 4:47 AM)

Whilst the gesture is interesting, it is just trying to mask the issue. The real world prices of those games are much lower than seen here, but this is not about finance. It is a cynical PR stunt to placate the masses. Moreover, it will work as well. It wasn’t Sony who hacked the system. The hackers are the actually criminals here, but it was Sony that decided to wait a week before slowly trickling info to us – from their blog. Nevertheless, we will all happily play our free games and Sony will get away with one of the biggest PR balls-ups in gaming history.

Oh and hackers will still have all out stolen data, but we will all still have warm memories of how they stuck it to the evil corporation.

So thanks for the games, but what I really want is an assurance that this will never happen again and if it does you will tell me sooner rather than later!

  8. Comment - Believe me when I say that Consumer Reports is WRONG about iPhone 4

    2007.build.23 (Sep 16, 2010 - 4:32 AM)

Not really - what they said was it is a great phone, but it fails on one point - working well as a phone. If it was just an iPod touch then that’s great, but it isn't. Its primary function is to be a phone - which is what it is worst at. The minimum requirement to be a phone is to make and maintain calls!

It's like getting a Ferrari that looks amazing and has all the trims, but has no engine!

  9. Comment - Believe me when I say that Consumer Reports is WRONG about iPhone 4

    2007.build.23 (Sep 16, 2010 - 4:29 AM)

Wow. You really do love it, so much you appear to be blind to the facts.
I now have one, so feel that I can comment. You are right, it is an amazing phone, that in almost every way blasts all competition out of the water. But to say

"I found no practical calling problems related to Death Grip. Additionally, the first iPhone 4 update solved any other calling problems"

Is just daft. I am in the UK on Vodafone. The very first thing I found was - the death grip was real and a pain! If my finger ventured near that black line, within seconds my call dropped.
The update did not fix this in any way - all it did was play with the way the phone reported signal strength, a little gloss to hide the problem.

The only thing that has solved this issue is the case that apple sent out. If this was not a real issue, do you really think apple would have offered free cases to all it's iPhone 4 customers?

  10. Comment - 5 things Apple should do to kill iPhone 4 Death Grip

    2007.build.23 (Jul 16, 2010 - 4:00 AM)

Wow, Joe really has become an Apple fan. Testament to how good the iPhone 4 is. The problem is, it has a hardware flaw. No, the flaw will not kill you, but it is a flaw and should be fixed.

As for other phone having the same problems, I have had smart phones for years and never had such a problem. I can make my E71 drop signal by touching it. I have to cup every surface I can in my hands and hold it under my desk... suddenly the signal drops... a little.

Bottom line, iPhone 4 has a fault, offer a solution not PR spit and polish.
