  1. Review - Mozilla Thunderbird (v5) for Windows

    5.0 (Jun 28, 2011)

They skipping 4 to match up with firefox numbering. They will continue to use rapid release on thunderbird as well as firefox. It is going to be very hard to use these in an enterprise/education environment now.

  2. Review - AnyDVD HD

    6.5.6.7 Beta (Jul 20, 2009)

Amazing program that does what it is made to do. Only one that I know of that works this great in addition to doing blueray and hddvd. Only downside to it is the change of licensing where its not forever now.

  3. Review - AnyDVD HD

    6.4.6.2 (Aug 23, 2008)

Amazing program. Removes alot of the crap on dvds. Program is worth the money. The higher price is okay because they do have to update the program non stop because of the movie companies and their copy protection. Even does BlueRay which is very hard to get around. Pay the company and be quiet about the price. U pay way more going to a baseball or football game.

It took the colonies being criminals to gain our freedom.

  6. Comment - Final Cut Pro X is Mac App Store's top seller, but buyer reviews are scathing

    0.99.16b (Jun 22, 2011 - 11:25 AM)

Because they will make more money from the home market selling 4 times as much. It sucks but that is what Apple does, think about it how come all of their devices are not tailored for enterprise? iMac no wake on lan from shutdown only sleep, iPhone and iPad no remote management of them, all locked down to Apple IDs.

  7. Comment - Scotland Yard arrests possible LulzSec leader, group denies

Full disk encryption means no remote turning computer on.

  8. Comment - Firefox 5 arrives early -- get it now!

    0.99.16b (Jun 20, 2011 - 11:19 AM)

Blame google who started this crap. Now, just because a browser comes with a new release you cannot be guaranteed of any new features. It does make sense though for the browsers as more people will upgrade when whole versions come out hence more secure and being able to push just a few features at a time now rather than having to test 100+ changes. I myself prefer the old numbering way and wish Mozilla would continue on its traditional path, but they are afraid they will get left behind because most consumers think higher number =better. If Mozilla does not follow Google example, firefox could get left behind. This high number versions is really bad for enterprise/education who have many legacy applications that sometimes just do not work with new versions yet everyone tries to update.

  9. Comment - Xbox 360 may have 'changed the tail,' but Wii turned it into a spike

    0.99.16b (Jun 3, 2011 - 4:39 PM)

Wii was exciting for a lot of people when it came out. Then the games never really followed the console and sucked in one form or another such as having crappy internet play or limiting 2 players per console on the internet ect. If you have nothing special to offer the audience of course consoles are going to drop meanwhile xbox and ps3 concentrate on all the advantages of internet. Wii is still one of the best for family or group events but how often do you have enough people over. After seeing the quality of the wii games, I do not think HD will help them all that much. Price was attractive back when ps3 and xbox were 500-600 dollars versus a wii of 250. Not anymore though.
