  1. Review - Everest Dictionary

    2.11 Beta (Oct 21, 2003)

It's a nice program, has a lot of potentional. However, the download here did not come with the dictionaries and then the web site tells me to run Update.exe, of which that file is no where to be seen. I have now found where to download the dictionaries, but only after trying to shut down the program. Also, I don't like how its a left mouse click on the tray icon to open the menu. I would like to give it a 5 out of 5, but those aforementioned things annoyed me.

  2. Review - Mozilla Firefox (v2) for Windows

    0.1 (Sep 25, 2002)

I tried this out last night, very fast! Almost out does my Opera. Very good for a first release, and I can't wait for future update, although I will be sticking with Opera myself.

To my understanding, AOL Time Warner was not allowed to incorporate advanced capabilities in its IM products because Microsoft, Yahoo and such said that AOL would dominate the market too much.

Also, with this ban. If Trillian can't connect, I will be heartbroken, I hate the MSN client. But, most of the people I know are too stupid to download ICQ or anything like that. So I guess I would be forced :(

  5. Comment - AOL Buddies Up with ICQ

    0.1 (Oct 31, 2002 - 6:41 AM)

It is definately good to hear that AOL is actually merging the two networks together to be able to interoperate.

I know I still love ICQ, and the only reason I used MSN now is only because of people at school use it because they're too lazy to learn the power of ICQ :)

ICQ was WAY ahead of it's time. I mean seriously, Microsoft thought it was good how it got Passport? ICQ had UIN's since the start, the idea behind it was one number for many things.

So c'mon guys, instead of complaining about how long it took them to do this, be happy that they're doing it.

And it is true that MSN only got popularity through other MS products, Hotmail, Windows, and IE.

  6. Comment - Windows XP Service Pack 1 Available

    0.1 (Sep 10, 2002 - 1:39 AM)

I've installed it, but the only I have noticed is that my IE6 actually works somewhat properly now. Even though I don't even use it :)

I had no problems with installation either.
