   Review - Paint.NET

   3.0 Beta 1 (Dec 5, 2006)

   Paint.NET is the best free photoshop alternative out there, and it does so much with so much less system resources and no $700 cost. Its better than gimp, has a vigorous development, and rocks as a program overall. Its filters/effects are astounding, and the new version 3.0 beta1 has tolerance slidebars, which rule over photoshop's format, and has the best save/dont save/cancel dialogue ive ever seen.
   
   Paint.NET is a super-great image program, calling it a replacement to ms paint is absurd, its more like a replacement for photoshop itself.

2. Comment - QuickTime Helps Spread MySpace Worm

   Myspace is a mess, there are bulletin spam messages constantly due to phishing of the popular site. Solution: Use NoScript extension in firefox and not allow ANY quicktime to run (aka by default noscript blocks each domain's scripts, enabled individually) Myspace DOES NOT host quicktime files, they must be put there by the user, hosted on a different domain
   
   Use firefox, IE is full of holes
