    with Vista, I spent half my time doing maintenance and worrying about viruses and the computer was spending half its resources checking for viruses and enforcing DRM... Vista takes forever to boot up & shut down... Vista's footprint is enormous???

    with UBUNTU there's no maintenance whatsoever and no virus fighting ... no DRM enforcement... boots up & shutdown quickly... small footprint... very easy to get familiar with it... tons of free software... no M$ tax every year... infinitely customizable...

    what are people doing on Vista??? search me???
