  1. Review - Apple iTunes for Windows

    4.1.0.52 (Oct 16, 2003)

If you want to conserve a little bit of memory, log in to Windows as an admin, go to your list of Services running. There is a service that is installed with iTunes called iPod Service. Stop the service and set it to Disabled (setting it to manual will still allow iTunes to start it up when it starts up). Now you have freed up a little bit of memory! I'm not going to say I'm 100% sure of this fix, but it looks like it works fine for me. Running on WinXP.
Hope this helps some of you complaining of the mem. footprint!

  2. Review - GoSURF

    1.7.303.4410 Beta (Mar 21, 2003)

"I've used & tested NetCaptor, CrazyBrowser, MyIE, Smartbrowser, Opera, Netscape (all versions), Mozilla and Phoenix, but GoSURF wins in most aspects if you're a heavy surfer/user. I can't live without it anymore. Some key features which make it unbeatable for me (combination not found in alternatives): - advanced popup & banner blocking features - reopen popups without having to reopen the page it came from - reopen closed pages - magic drag functions (drag a link a bit and it opens in a new page, or drag text/pictures a bit and it saves it)"

You obviously haven't used the recent Netcaptor. Netcaptor, the original, still the best.

  3. Review - Tabrowser

    1.08 (Dec 16, 2002)

Although it works, looks like a really bad rip off of crazy browser or Netcaptor.

Where are they going to get the $6billion that every is mentioning to purchase from Vivendi? Last I heard their positive cash flow was only like $4 million...

Certainly sounds odd, but could put them in a great position as the "digital Media" company they want to be rather than just another computer maker.

Of course it'll have *some* security upgrades, and maybe they'll shuffle the menus around again (Just like office xp) but what could they possibly add that's so new and innovating to release another version? Ooh Smart Tags... OMG!

I heard more than half the ISP's in South Korea and china were offline for a number of hours. Funny because since then, I haven't received a single spam. :)
