  1. Review - System Restore Point Creator

    1.1 (Oct 26, 2003)

Well using a VBS is fine but the main reason why i created this program was to learn the System Restore APIs and create this small program for my own use. It may be small, but i think some might find it useful :)

  2. Review - NeoTweak XP

    0.7 Alpha (Dec 31, 2002)

It is still new and there's lots of room for improvement / fixing. Two of the tweaks sections (Start Menu & System Tweaks) are not working yet.

  3. Review - nVIDIA GeForce Drivers for Windows 9x/Me

    21.81 (Sep 14, 2001)

I've been using the new drivers for a while and find that they don't seem to provide any improved performance, but instead it makes the game performance worst. I'm using a Geforce DDR, i've played both Max Payne and Project IGI and it seems that the game lags while moving into certain areas in these two games. But after i have reverted back to the old drivers, everything was fine. I did a second time reinstall on the new drivers and the same thing occured...so i just had to go back with my old drivers which is : 4.12.01.0635. I'm not too sure if this is an official driver but it works fine for me.

  4. Comment - Metallica Sues Napster, Universities, Fans

    21.81 (Apr 14, 2000 - 9:19 AM)

The problem with bands these days, not only metallica, is that probably because of technologies such as Mp3's and such are destroying their business. That's what they think, in some ways this is true but in other ways, it's not. What i believe is that metallica should have never tried to sue Napster as many of you were saying that napster is the provider and not the one who distributes mp3's.
In this case, why not sue the Internet Service Providers as well since they provide the Internet Connection to enable people to transfer mp3's to others?Or maybe those who made mp3 rippers? The list goes on and on. What metallica is trying to do is to shut down the main source that allows the file transfer to occur. Again, as many of you were saying, this is useless as there'll still be places to transfer mp3's - ICQ, Imesh, IRC and so on. Why sue Napster only JUST BECAUSE NAPSTER is the only program/application that allows people to transfer MP3 files ONLY to others. Why didn't they sue the guy who made IRC/ICQ/Imesh?

These bands are already loaded with cash, why do they want more anyway?I just don't understand. I think that these bands should let people support them by giving a small percentage of their PROFIT to the needy. Probably by then, people MAY buy their albums because it's for a worthy cause ! And not for making the rich RICHER!

The main reason why i am not supporting bands/companies/whoever in sueing providers such as napster, imesh and such is that CD's cost a bundle here in my country (Malaysia). And the fact is, i love music and i'm not rich. Thanks to mp3, i've been able to listen to my favourite tunes without costing me an arm and a leg.

Fact : Buying cd's tend to be a waste of the earth's resources, whatever that makes the damn thing including the jewel case, the paper, the disc, etc...
I now have approx. 500-600 mp3's. 1 CD can fit approx. 16-20 tracks depending on the song length. If all these mp3's were on cd's (AUDIO), i would have had over 30 cd's. Isn't that a waste?
not to mention that mp3's are small and 1 cd can easily fit about 180 over mp3's. Thus less wastage.

I know i'm rambling a lot here, but i'm just giving my $0.02 worth :)

    Napster RULES FOREVER !
