  1. Review - Eusing Free Registry Cleaner

    2.8 (Sep 6, 2011)

I personally have used this on Vista and Win7 and have never had an issue. This is my preferred program to clean the registry. Like all cleaners though, you must back up the registry to be safe. I also use Eusing registry defrag after cleaning.

  2. Review - Complete System Tuneup

    2.1.0.2 (Feb 2, 2011)

So what, you're an atheist. Consequentially, you hate the name and gave the program a "one" because of it. You didn't use the program, so you couldn't possibly be able to rate it's performance. A program is more than a name.

For novices, this is a nice program that helps them not only find the system utilities, but also how often to run them. May have issues with 64bit though.

  3. Review - Advanced SystemCare Free

    3.1.0 RC2 (Oct 10, 2008)

Because of the bad reviews, I felt I needed to add my review.

The change from "Windows Care" to "System Care", along with the redesign, was a good one. This new incarnation has better tools, and cleans more thoroughly than it's predecessor. I maintain 6 PCs, (one Vista, five XP). Unlike the users who posted reviews here, I have never had an issue concerning what System Care removed. I'm suspicious as if they are real reviews, or that these individuals did something wrong, or had major underlining issues with their machines. System Care asks you to back up your OS and your registry. Did you not do this? If you had, your system wouldn't have been "screwed up" to the point of not being recoverable. Also, the program shows you how to see a detailed list of what it has identified for removal. You can uncheck anything that you want to keep if you think System Care has made an error. Did you look at your lists before saying "repair"? Furthermore, you can undo changes the program has made. Did you try to undo these changes?

Why, with all the computers I have used this on did I not have an issue? With everything I have shown here, it seems "user error" is to blame and not the program itself, or they are simply fake reviews to defame the product.

In the end, I can only tell you that I think the redesign of System Care has made it better, and that I have had no issues at all. I recommend it.

  4. Review - Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3

    SP3 RC2 Refresh (Mar 27, 2008)

I installed this but on restart, it reset all themes and add-ons to the Windows default. I had different themes and also had Vistapack XP installed. I was unable to switch to any theme, even after using the ultheme fix again. After uninstalling the service pack, my hard drive had an error which caused the machine to be in an endless "boot" mode. I was unable to get into "Safe" mode as well. So, I had to reinstall Windows and I have lost everything.

This is the first time I have been seriously messed up by a Windows Beta or program. I suggest staying away until the final release, and even then, I have to wonder why it broke my machine with the uninstall. Just something to consider.

  5. Review - Mozilla Firefox (v3) for Windows

    3.0 Alpha 2 (Feb 8, 2007)

After reading some of the concerns about 2.0, I have to agree to a point. I have had a few rendering problems, as well as crashing of the browser.

Concerning this release, I have noticed it uses a bit less RAM, it renders faster and better, and I have yet to have a crash. I'm actually quite amazed, since it's still in the development stage. Other alpha and beta releases have been problematic for me, but this one is solid! It must be the new engine update they are using.

Of course, many extensions and themes won't work with this release, but I'll continue to use it for the stablity increase I have experienced.

PC_Fool (Hey look, I can make fun of your name as well!. Very childish, don't you agree?)

Well, as far as my reading comprehension, I know what you said. There seems to be an argument about who sold what, so I merely posted sales figures. I made no commentary, so why are you going off on me?

I guess you didn't comprehend my last post, nor did you re-read the article.

    You two sure are dense.

I won't hand hold you and show you the quote this time. Read the article for comprehension again.

He doesn't want old tech, which a less than $300 mac mini will be. So, your points not valid.

And thanks for down voting me throughout the thread even though I am right on every point. Shows the level of intelligence on this forum.

    Your reading comprehension needs work.

From the article: "The sensible thing would be to get her a new Mac. But I simply can't afford to spend a thousand bucks on MacBook Air or $1,200 on a new iMac. Refurbished is an option, but even that is a budget buster right now."
