Well, to the person who is hoping to view aol users profiles.. im sorry .. heh.. i was speaking with someone who was developing AIM, and on top of his irritating email, he said that would never happen, due to the fact that it was 'a privilage to AOL's paying members' .. i also made comments about possible email alises based on your aim screenname, aliased to your actual email address, and that wasnt mentioned in the reply.. so maybe that IS a possiblity, who knows.
3.0 Release Candidate 2 (Jan 31, 2000)
Indeed its a neat utility, by the way, to the person who felt the need to make himself appear smarter by making fun of someone for tyoping.. if they needed to practice thier 2nd grade typing skills, they would be typing fine. If they perfected thier 2nd grade typing skills.. they would typo.. just thought I'd point that out. ;)
3.0 Release Candidate 2 (Sep 27, 2000 - 10:49 AM)
for a few months now, you have been able to sign onto aim using your icq uin as the username, and its passwd as the passwd obviously.. but so ****ing what. aol sucks.
3.0 Release Candidate 2 (Jun 17, 2000 - 7:51 AM)
The coolness formally known as Odigo has done it again, they got us back in AIM, yay! :D Then again, im sure 2 hours from now, I'll be back saying 'Damn aol blocked us out again!' But that is completely irrelevant.
3.0 Release Candidate 2 (Jun 17, 2000 - 1:24 AM)
Well, it don't anymore :( Seems AOL blocked jabber off too, it's amusing how AOL isn't blocking clones out of its ICQ service tho isnt it. Even tho I think ICQ is crap, at least AOL should be consistant. Plus, Odigo's own service is far more advanced than aim ever will be. I'm definitly hoping Odigo gets thru this mess, and AOL just relaxes. Maybe if Odigo would possibly agree to display the same ad's that AIM displays, then the money hungry bas****s over at AOL could breathe once again, and everyone would be happy. Everyone online likes choices, some people just arent aware of them. All this blocking AOL has been doing lately, is just going to get the word out to more obscure people, that there ARE other ways to get onto the AIM service, and people are gonna try them, and some people like myself, are going to like the other ways better. I'll stop blabbering now. bye.
3.0 Release Candidate 2 (Jun 16, 2000 - 2:20 PM)
All it takes is a netstat to see it using aol's stuff to get onto aim, dummy.
3.0 Release Candidate 2 (Jun 16, 2000 - 1:55 PM)
It would appear AOL has blocked Odigo out.. yet again.
