PicPick (http://www.picpick.org/) is really better than this; and not just because PicPick is freeware for home users; the post capture tools are just "not there yet"
Another alternative is Greenshot (http://getgreenshot.org/)
My choice; PicPick ... use it all the time, very effective!

Excellent software ... but the update downloads ~4+ MB every time!!! WTF!!!
Deltas anyone?!?!
3.4 Build 902 Alpha (Jun 10, 2010)
3.4 alpha (902) doesn't show up in the tray after Windows starts. I have to kill the fdm.exe process and restart it to make it show up in the tray.
Otherwise, the best!
Build 4/28/10 (Apr 30, 2010)

Quick explanation: Gives you an X server on the Windows machines which allows you to s***o remote *nix machines with X forwarding enabled!
This allows you to run remote X based apps!!! (xterm, etc)

@zealus ... functionality before form .... questions that are of any real use are:
Q: How heavy/light is the thing?
Q: What backup/restore functionality does it support out-of-the-box?
If two laptops are feature equivalent, then compare looks! So ... they might look ugly ... big deal ... its a computer!!!
